Connie Saves Gilbert is an action-comedy written and directed by Genaro Dominguez, a Long Island University- Brooklyn Campus MFA student, whose film aspires to address the limited number of lead female heroes in cinema by creating his own.

 

If you're like us, you're tired of the same boy likes girl, baddie takes girl, boy fights baddies, boy wins, boy gets girl storyline.

 

Connie Saves Gilbert puts a woman in the hero's role. We want little girls and boys to have as many female heroes to look up to as we did male heroes growing up.
